Fundraisers

It's better to give than receiveNever an easy job – fundraising. But someone’s got to do it. So why not make their job as easy as possible? Fundraisers and development staff are always looking for new ways to reach their current and prospective donor base. They are even looking for ways to look towards new, untapped donor bases with their same offering. It requires targeted advertising and positioning of your non-profit - your cause. Fundraisers often have a need for multiple campaigns that are related in some way back to the agency, the nonprofit or even the political entity. These ad campaigns may cycle around seasonal events, seasonal “asks” like annual giving campaigns, or they may form out of more amorphous and fluid objectives like a need for emergency funding or capitalizing on matching gift from a corporate or individual donor. Advertising in this respect requires the ability to grasp the need, understand the impact on the target market and craft the message that will move donors to act. Besides all kinds of event advertising tools like banners and flyers and such, fundraising professionals (or those tasked with fundraising like parents, committees, community members, etc.) use advertising campaigns (direct mail, print ads, flyers, posters, etc.) to raise awareness, promote events, and implement direct fundraising campaigns. |
